Hexie Pillow

Have you seen this darling pillow by Modern Handcraft? Modern Hexies is a faster version of traditional english paper piecing, but with a modern spin. This pattern gives you full instructions for a decorative pillow. It is a fun and easy way to try your hand at a little handwork and gives you a taste of a fabric collection.

 Hexies are sure fun to make but after you make 100's of them... because you can't get your self to stop, what do you do with them?!? Well, you could just collect them, stock pile them OR you could do something AMAZING with them. My go to is the Hexie Pillow by Modern Handcraft. However, lately, I have really love putting mine on a project zip bag like this...

Whatever you decide to do, give it a go and have fun with it! Hopefully you have the courage to try hexies if it is a new concept to you. I will share a video later on on how to sew these together by hand, if you want to try your hand at that. It's also a fun and relaxing way to play with fabric.
